Monaco has been feeling cramped on its 2km² rock for a long time now. Following in the footsteps of his father Prince Rainier, nicknamed the “Builder Prince” because he increased the principality’s size by 20%, Albert II has taken up another colossal challenge: building 60,000 km2 of housing, a parking structure, a port, a park and a shoreline walkway… on the sea!
Monaco’s newest gem will be called the “Anse du Portier” district. The builders are going to have to wrestle with a deep and delicate seabed, deploying colossal resources to make this brand-new slice of Monaco rise up out of the waters.
MONACO: THE CONQUEST OF THE SEA follows this amazing building project in all its stages. Against a backdrop of spectacular images, between land and sea, the construction managers share their extraordinary, one-of-a-kind adventure with us
